Well,i'm back again for blogging!
As promised,now i shall blog about today's 'A' Division Rugby Police Cup Finals 2008!The match took place at The Padang,kick off @4.30pm!The two traditional powerhouse rugby team sees each other in the Finals today!St Andrew's Junior Collegue(SAJC) vs Anglo-Chinese School(Independant)(ACSI)!
To our team dismay,we lost in the Finals today with a big gap of difference in our score of SAJC(8) : (21)ACS(I)!The first-half was already a bad start for us for awarding ACS(I) a penalty with only 3 minutes to the start of the game & was converted with a score now SAJC(0) : (3)ACS(I)!ACS(I) was awarded another penalty & was not converted!As the tension between the two schools goes on a drop goal from our team earned us a 3 point & made the score equal,SAJC(3) : (3)ACS(I)!Somehow things didn't looked quite good with ACS(I) scoring a try & converted!Score SAJC(3) : (10)ACS(I)!ACS(I) was leading & another mistake from our team awarded them another diaster penalty & score came to a SAJC(3) : (13)ACS(I)!
There goes the end of first-half whistle!
Second-half kicked off with a bad start with one of ACS(I) player who played a solo game scoring another try & was not converted just 3 minutes from the start of the second-half game!Around the 60th minute,our team made a long drive to ACS(I) try line & it touch down & was not converted!Score came down to SAJC(8) : (18)ACS(I)!Another penalty was awarded & this time was to our team & was in our favour as it was just near the Rugby Post but the kicker didn't managed to convert it & it real did disgrace our school of rugby!Here came the last few seconds & we made a mistake giving ACS(I) another penalty,score came down to SAJC(8) : (21)ACS(I)!
The final whistle blew & our team lost!
The team made a total of about 109 mistakes in just this one game of Finals!All the trainings that we old boys came back to help out hoping to win the Finals to defend our Police Cup 2008 shattered our dreams & was a real disgrace & shame to our school!We could have convert the penalty in the second-half but the kicker was a disgrace to we SA ruggers for not converting the easiest penalty awarded to us as it was like less than 10m form the rugby goal post!
The team had a de-briefing & we shed tears of disappointment!The team made us lose our efforts that we had put into for their trainings & the time that we made just for them!
